About The Garden Show

Join the Collin County Master Gardeners on March 26th and 27th, 2011 for The Garden Show at beautiful Myers Park and Event Center in McKinney, Texas. We want to bring citizens together with garden and landscape professionals who provide valuable products and services with environmental principles that are safe, proven and bring value to the homeowner.

Presentations will be made by well-known keynote speakers in addition to almost continuous presentations by Texas AgriLife Extension Specialists, Texas AgriLife Research Scientists, sponsors, and Collin County Master Gardeners. The emphasis is Earth Kind living in North Texas.

During the show we will be conducting tours of our Earth Kind Perennial Research and Demonstration Garden. The Texas AgriLife Extension Service and Collin County Master Gardeners are working to determine which perennials and other types of plants can be grown in North Texas without the use of fertilizer, pesticides, and excessive irrigation. The gardens are open to the public so you can come out and see what plants will look and do well in your yard. We will also display newly installed rainwater harvesting systems and rain gardens at Myers Park.
