Transylvanian Sage

Blooms June to September. In early summer it produces numerous spikes of deep blue lobster claws like flowers that get to 3’ tall. After the first killing frost, cut plants back to the ground and new foliage will quickly appear and stay evergreen throughout the winter.

Pests or Problems: Self sows freely. Dead head if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season. No serious insect or disease problems. Some susceptibility to powdery mildew, leaf spot and rust. White fly and scale are occasional insect pests.
