Creating successful landscapes with water-wise and well-adapted plants is just one of the topics covered in Talks for Collin County.

Subjects like water-wise gardening, soil improvement, and successful planting strategies for North Texas are the focus of a special in-depth seminar offered to the public by our Master Gardeners several times a year. The presentation, titled "A Complete Guide to Landscaping in Collin County", is offered free in coordination with area organizations such as nurseries.

The four-hour seminar features Power Point presentations by teams of speakers, as well as demonstrations and time for questions and answers. The program is usually offered on two evenings in successive weeks during after-work hours. Homeowners go home with packets of information as well as new gardening insights. Host businesses often provide food, beverages and door prizes.

The Collin County Master Gardeners welcome queries from businesses and organizations that have the space to accommodate an audience.
